Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is taking the day to spend with family and friends because once the turkey coma fades and the pumpkin pie high is gone, reality is going to set in. There are only four more Mondays until Christmas. Yes, you read this right, only four more Mondays to get all your holiday shopping done. However, if you are anything like me, you haven’t even begun to shop, let alone think about what you want to get everyone, especially dental professionals in your life.

The days of generic gifts is long gone. These days unique, personalized gifts are popular. With sites like Etsy, Amazon and CafePress, finding unique holiday gifts for dental professionals in your life has never been easier.

According to their website, “Etsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods.” A simple search of “dental gifts” returns over 4,000 search results. You can find everything from coffee mugs, jewelry to artwork, just to name a few. One of my favorite ideas is from the shop Sunbasil Soap. Shop owner Lauren Mill sells a variety of hand soaps and it’s her denture teeth soap that caught my attention.

When searching for gifts on Etsy, be sure to read the shop’s policies (shipping, returns, payment, ect.) as they will vary from shop to shop. In addition, because many of the goods listed are made to order, be sure to check the shipping/delivery timeframe. There may be an order cutoff date to ensure your gift arrives in time for the holidays.

Amazon Handmade

Did you know Amazon has a special section just for handmade goods? Well, I guess its not that hard to believe, since Amazon sell literally everything anyone could ever need and more. Amazon Handmade boasts it is a “destination for you to find unique, truly handcrafted products made by Artisans from around the world.”

While the selection of unique gifts is a bit smaller then what I’ve seen on Esty, they do have some pretty unique items. I particularly like a coffee mug from Perks & Recreation that reads, “I hope you understand the cavity of the situation.”

Again, be sure to check if the item is in stock and the shipping timeframe.

CafePress is another great site to get unique and personalized gifts. In the About Us section, it states “CafePress is the world’s best online gift shop. With over one billion items, our purpose is to bring our customers’ passions to life by helping them express themselves and connect with others through unique designs and products.” Well, with over one billion items, you are sure to find something. The one thing I love about CaféPres is that they offer a ton of already designed gifts, but also give you the option to customize products or upload your own artwork for a truly unique & personal gift. I mean, where else could you get flip flops with a tooth design or an area rug that says “floss boss”.

I hope that I have given you some good ideas to make this year’s holiday shopping a smooth and stress free process. Happy shopping!
