As dental technicians we become familiar and comfortable with routine and processes. When something goes wrong, we then wonder what happened because we’ve been doing it that way for so many years. And when that does happen we immediately think there is something wrong with the materials we are using, when in fact, most likely isn’t the case at all. This particularly happens when working with Phosphate Investments. We get so familiar with the working material we often over look that something as small as using old or worn bowls could affect expansion.
