Pricing, Quotes & Dealer Pricing

This article explains how pricing works, including dealer pricing tiers, how quotes apply to orders, and what to expect when prices change.

Pricing, Quotes & Dealer Pricing

The pricing process helps ensure that orders are quotes and billed consistently according to Whip Mix Terms of Sale.

What This Means for Our Team Members

All Whip Mix pricing is established in United States Dollars (USD) and is quoted EXW (Ex Works) Seller’s facility.

This means pricing reflects the product value at the Whip Mix facility. Freight, taxes, tariffs, and other charges may be applied separately.

Pricing is not fixed and may change over time. Orders are billed based on either a valid quote or the prevailing price at the time of shipment.

What To Do

If a customer has a pricing or quote-related question:

  1. Confirm the product(s) and pricing being referenced.
  2. Check whether a valid quote exists.
  3. If a quote exists, confirm it is still valid.
  4. If no quote applies, explain that pricing is based on the current price at time of shipment.
  5. If dealer pricing is involved, confirm the dealer’s pricing tier if needed.
  6. Escalate if pricing appears incorrect or unclear.

Important Things to Remember

How Quotes Apply

  • Orders are billed at the price on a valid quote, or
  • If no valid quote applies, the prevailing price at shipment is used

Dealer Pricing Levels

  • Dealer pricing levels are based on the dealer’s annual purchase volume.
  • Possession of a dealer price list does not guarantee pricing or order acceptance.
  • Whip Mix reserves the right to accept or refuse orders.

  • Written notices will be provided if tariff-related costs change.

When to Escalate

  • Dealer pricing eligibility is in question
  • Tariffs or additional charges are being challenged
  • Pricing does not match expected values
