Articulators are designed to replicate the hinge movements of the mandible, however they differ greatly in their cost, adjustability and function. Because of this, many dental labs are making using of plastic disposable hinges, which are designed to save time, money and weight. 
The MainStay Disposable Articulators, offers laboratories a choice between single-pour pin or pin-less models – or give you the ability to combine the two styles in the upper and lower arches. In addition, the MainStay Disposable Articulator does not require model formers, needs no gypsum base and adjusts to accommodate any occlusal relationship. A few features that make the MainStay different from other on the market today include:
 
  • No External Walls- Flat table for easy removal and replacement of segments
  • Support Rods- Built-in to provide a vertical stop, ideal for edentulous models
  • Can be heated for custom occlusal relationship.
